                  2016 Dog/Cat Licenses 

According to State Statute (Chapter 174) and City of Evansville Ordinance 2015-01, all dogs and cats must be licensed annually.  2016 licenses are available after December 15th, 2015.  Dog/Cat licenses can be applied for at the City Clerk's Office (31 S. Madison St).  A current rabies certificate and proof of distemper vaccination from your Vet is required when applying for the license.

Fees are as follows:

  • $8.00 for each neutered or spayed

  • $15.00 for each unneutered or unspayed

  • Late fee applied after March 31st.

City of Evansville is looking for an 

 Alderperson for District #2

Alderperson Cheryl Fuchs is resigning effective November 13, 2015.  A replacement will be appointed by the Common Council to serve from December 8, 2015 until the April 2016 election.  For more information.....


The City of Evansville is accepting applications for the EMS Coordinator position.  The City runs a 24/7 basic level EMT service. The part-time position will consist of a flexible 20 hour work week primarily to complete administrative functions.  There will be approximately 12 evening committee meetings a year, 24 departmental meetings/training in the evening, and occasional travel/overnight stays for conferences.  The main goal and focus for a candidate will be leadership that will improve the department’s recruitment levels and improve/advance the service level of the department.

The City of Evansville is contracting with Independent Inspections Ltd. for our building inspection services.  This contract will become effective July 1st, 2015 and all future inpections will go through this company.

Department of Motor VehiclesWhy wait in line?  Most registrations can be handled in just a few minutes.......

The Police Department is now an authorized partner of the Department of Motor Vehicles.  We can provide title, registration and/or registration renewal services for walk-in customers.  Plates or stickers are given to the customer upon completing the transaction.  Titles are printed and mailed from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles.  There is a small fee for these services.  Services are currently available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm.
