Request for Proposals: 

Website Redesign, Implementation, and Complementary Services  

The City of Evansville is requesting proposals to provide website redesign, implementation, and complementary services. The purpose of the website redesign is to deliver a navigationally instinctive, aesthetically appealing, content-rich, cost-effective, and responsive website to our community and visitors. The desired vendor must demonstrate experience working with smaller public sector clients and superior customer service as part of the proposal.

Wanted: Customer Service Clerk

The City of Evansville is looking for an energetic, friendly and out-going person to fill our Customer Service Clerk position.  This position requires multi-tasking, providing support for the office staff at City Hall, and handling the needs of our residents at the counter or over the phone.   This position is Full-time, working primarily 7:30am to 4:30pm with an hour lunch, Monday through Friday.  Salary for this position is $14.75 - $16.25 an hour at 40 hours a week.  Benefits such as health, dental, sick time, retirement, vacation time, and more are provided.

Common Council Meeting

Tuesday, Feb 9, 2016, 6:30 p.m.

City Hall, 31 S. Madison Street, Evansville, WI 

The Common Council will hold a public hearing on Ordinance #2015-02, repealing and recreating Ch. 62 Historic Preservation.  The Ordinance is available for public review at the City Hall and clicking here.  All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting.


Winter Notice from Advanced Disposal...

Due to a software issue Evansville Water & Light Utility Bills for December were mailed on 1/12/2016. Late fees will not be applied until January 31st.

Winter parking regulations are in effect Nov 30 to April 1.  On-street Odd/Even parking is enforced between 1 am and 7 am.  If you park your car before midnight, please remember the date change that will occur at midnight.  Any questions, please contact the Police Department at 608-882-2292.  Thank you.



                  2016 Dog/Cat Licenses 

According to State Statute (Chapter 174) and City of Evansville Ordinance 2015-01, all dogs and cats must be licensed annually.  2016 licenses are available after December 15th, 2015.  Dog/Cat licenses can be applied for at the City Clerk's Office (31 S. Madison St).  A current rabies certificate and proof of distemper vaccination from your Vet is required when applying for the license.

Fees are as follows:

  • $8.00 for each neutered or spayed

  • $15.00 for each unneutered or unspayed

  • Late fee applied after March 31st.

The City of Evansville is contracting with Independent Inspections Ltd. for our building inspection services.  This contract will become effective July 1st, 2015 and all future inpections will go through this company.

Department of Motor VehiclesWhy wait in line?  Most registrations can be handled in just a few minutes.......

The Police Department is now an authorized partner of the Department of Motor Vehicles.  We can provide title, registration and/or registration renewal services for walk-in customers.  Plates or stickers are given to the customer upon completing the transaction.  Titles are printed and mailed from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Division of Motor Vehicles.  There is a small fee for these services.  Services are currently available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 7 pm.
