Applicants for the Life Guard and Swim Lesson Instructor must be 15 years or older.

Public Works Foreperson

The City of Evansville is accepting applications for a qualified candidate to serve as the Public Works Foreperson.  This is a full-time position which is responsible for general management, leadership and in depth knowledge of the operations with the Public Works Department. The department provides residents with street, snow removal, sanitary sewer and wastewater treatment plant, stormwater, equipment, cemetery, parks, and other public grounds and facilities. Qualified candidates will have experience in general management, leadership, the ability to read and understand blueprints, plan sets and maps, knowledge of proper and safe operations of equipment, including sewer jetter, plows, sanders, backhoes, etc., and ability to use small power tools. Candidate must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). The position is expected to be 30% in the office and 70% in the shop or field.

 

Pay is between $28.00 and $30.00 an hour based on qualifications and experience. Many benefits are provided, including health care, dental, life insurance, longevity bonus, retirement and more.
