Night Owl Sports Pub and Eatery
The re-opening of the Night Owl in a new building being erected on the vacant lot at the southwest corner of E Main Street and S Union Street is expected this summer. The City approved plans for the new building in fall of 2017. Customers to the estimated 5,800 SF new Night Owl can look forward to outdoor dining options, including right along Main Street. Construction: 2017 to 2018
New residences on the City’s east side will be part of Brown School Place, an estimated $2.4 million mixed-use development on Brown School Road. This lot will feature family-friendly walkup style units with a 2,100 SF commercial retail space, a transition between existing Highway 14 commercial storefronts and rural residential lots to the north. The project is expected to be completed in two phases. Construction: 2017 to 2021
In fall of 2017 the City approved an estimated 750 SF, $280,000 expansion of Casey’s General Store at the northeast corner of Main and Union Streets. Construction: not started
On the west side of the City near 6th and Prairie View Streets, a new multi-family subdivision called Stonewood Grove has been approved with approximately 20 lots for new homes. This subdivision is adjacent to and including the southern portions of Westfield Meadows. Construction: starting in 2018
An extension of the west end of Garfield Avenue to include a new street ”Windmill Ridge Road” with lots for single family homes and an extension of West Side Park. Construction: 2017 to 2019
A residential subdivision on Evansville’s northeast side between Cemetery Road and N Water Street. This subdivisions includes lots for single family homes. Phase 1 was completed in 2017, with two more phases of construction remaining. Construction: paused
