Park Shelter/Field Reservation and Rental Information

The City of Evansville has 3 parks that provide pavilions and athletic fields for your event.   The rates for both shelter and athletic fields are listed below.  There is also a $100 security deposit required on all shelters prior to your event that is refundable after the event is held.  All reservations are made through the City Clerk's Office at City Hall, 31 S. Madison St.  For more information, availability, and any questions please contact the City Clerk's Office at 608-882-2266.

The largest of the parks is historic Leonard-Leota Park (Lake Leota Park) that boasts a 40-acre stream fed lake, swimming pool, 4 pavilions, 2 ball diamonds, athletic field/courts (tennis, basketball, volleyball and soccer), multiple playground areas and 3 modern bathroom facilities.  Park hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.  During the summer season (June thru August) park hours will be extended to 11 p.m.  The pavilions are most commonly referred to as the Upper Shelter, Lower Shelter, Horsebarn Shelter and the Oscar Dietzch.  All of these pavilions have lights and electrical outlets for your convenience.

COVID Re-Opening - Shelter Rental Waiver

If you would like to keep your reservation, or make a reservation, you will need to review the Rock County Reopening Phased Plan found here: https://www.co.rock.wi.us/publichealth-familycommunity/publichealth-communicabledisease/coronavirus-disease-2019#rock-county-reopening-plan-and-dashboard.

If you feel that you can meet the requirements as outlined within this plan you will need to fill out the "COVID Re-Opening - Shelter Rental Waiver" disclaimer form for the shelter rental and return at least 48 business hours before your event.
