Veterans Memorial Pool & Park Store
The
Evansville swimming pool is open to the public during the summer months, fully
equipped with locker rooms, showers, highly-trained lifeguards, a zero-depth
entry area for young children and inexperienced swimmers (new
in 2005), tubes, a diving board, and two slides. A special section for lap-swimming is available.
Swimming lessons and life guard training are offered as well as the opportunity
to join the Evansville Swim Team.
Concessions and refreshments are available at the Park Store, located next to the pool. At various times throughout the summer, special events are held at the Evansville pool, including "pool parties," sponsored by local radio stations.

Lessons
Swim lessons are offered from 9:15 - 12:00am and 4:45pm - 6:15pm. The dates for lessons during the 2008 summer season are as follows:
Session #1: June 16 through June 27 (tentative, subject to change)
Session #2: July 7 through July 18
Session #3: July 28 through August 8

Reduced Rates Available
Based on income guidelines, some City of Evansville
residents may qualify for reduced pool rates.
Information and applications are available in the City Clerk's
office in City Hall.
