
EVANSVILLE POLICE
DEPARTMENT
The Evansville Police Department is responsible for providing the public with crime prevention services and protection of life and property. It is the goal of the Evansville Police Department to provide essential services to the citizens and visitors of the City of Evansville and to work with other agencies to achieve common goals.
The Police Department provides full-time police protection.
Nine full-time
officers (including the Police Chief and Lieutenant) and
4 part-time
officers staff the Department. Additional support is provided
to the City and surrounding areas by the Rock County Sheriffs
Department. The Evansville Police
Commission provides oversight of the Department.
