The Evansville Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary action agency, made up of businesses who band together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial and civic interest of Evansville. The Chamber is run by the board of directors with the assistance of one part-time paid staff member. The Chamber's expenses are apportioned among its members through a dues structure. 

The volunteer Board of Directors serves without pay and sets the policies for governing the Chamber. Each board member serves a 2-year term, and must be employed by a member of the Chamber. Members of the Chamber are local and area businesses and organizations who pay an annual membership fee, thereby investing in Evansville's present and future.
