The City issued a request for proposals (RFP) for design engineering service for the future dredging of Lake Leota.
Seven proposals were received, from Fehr-Graham & Associates, Foth Infrastructure & Environment, Liesch Environmental Services, Montgomery Associates, MSA Professional Services, Strand Associates, and Vierbicher Associates.
The City Council, Public Works Committee, Park Board, and SOLE each designated one appointee to a screening committee to review the 7 proposals and narrow the list to 4 finalists. The finalists are being invited to a presentation and interview session, scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, October 30.
After reviewing the proposals, interviewing the finalists, checking references, and debating the merits of each, the Public Works Committee selected Vierbicher Associates, Inc.
To assist members of the City Council, Public Works Committee, Park Board, SOLE, and the general public, the final proposal is posted here. In scanning to a digital, black-and-white format, the clarity of some photographs or graphics may be affected; the original proposal is available for viewing at City Hall during regular business hours.
